 Fifty
years ago, Lynn Flowers established a five year old kindergarten
class at First Presbyterian Church, because of Lynn’s nurturing
personality and sound educational philosophy, the kindergarten was
an immediate success. Within the next few years, the successful
program evolved into a full preschool program.
Although
Lynn died of cancer in 1985, the program continues to be grounded
in Lynn’s basic educational philosophy. It is our intent that the
school always reflect the loving atmosphere and nurturing environment
that Lynn established so many years ago.
We
believe that each child is a unique individual “created in the image
of God” and that our preschool program should provide an environment
to foster the development of each child’s uniqueness in relationship
to is world through physical, social, spiritual and mental growth.
