A WORD OF THANKS... To my fellow church members…
Thank you for helping me pay to go to Mo-Ranch, June 6-12. I had Bible study, vespers (singing), and swimming. It rained a lot while I was there, so there were some things we couldn't do. The food was also really good. I had a great time and met a lot of new friends. I can't thank you enough for helping make my summer even better. Thank you so much. I am looking forward to going back next summer. -Lauren Smith

MISSION BANDAGE PROJECT First, thanks to all you "eager beaver" homemakers who contributed clean discarded sheets. We have shredded (torn) them into 3-inch wide strips, ready to roll them into tight secured bandages. These are now available for your pickup outside the church parlor.
Please help us to finish this project (be a "wholly roller"!) Check a completed sample. Return your rolled bandages in a plastic bag to the same location.
We will collect and count them. Our goal is to collect 1,000 bandages, to be dedicated on Sunday, August 15, 2004.
We will ship to the Presbyterian Medical Benevolence Foundation in Houston, which interprets and assists in meeting medical needs of Presbyterian Mission Hospitals in Africa, Haiti, India, and Pakistan through funds, equipment, and supplies.
Your rolled bandages are first used as packing around delicate medical equipment and upon arrival in places such as Malawi or Haiti are sanitized to serve patients.
Thus the work of your hands will be extended in practical mission, even as your heart supports these health ministries with your prayers.
